Party Shades Can You Spray Paint Lamp Shades?

Can you spray paint lamp shades? - party shades

I have a few shades of gold, the magic lamp that was my son on the basis of a Sharpie. Is there anyway just painting white or ruin their will? We have a birthday party Saturday, and I would not really go and buy new tones. I personally have no problem with that new, but my husband Thanks!
