Math Aquarium What's The Math Formula For Calculating Gallons By Measurements?

What's the math formula for calculating gallons by measurements? - math aquarium

I have an aquarium and I do not know how many gallons it can hold. You've always wanted to know the formula for. This is my tank size of 11 cm deep x 30 1 / 2 "wide x 17 1 / 2" tall. THANKS

The volume of a rectangular box is multiplied by the width times the height. Use the dimensions of the aquarium to find the volume.

Who has measured the dimensions in inches, so that its volume in cubic centimeters:
11 * 30.5 * 17.5 = 5871.25 in ^ 3

There are several ways to measure the volume: cubic centimeters, cubic meters, gallons, liters, pints, liters, etc., but you must convert cubic centimeters to liters. So you have a conversion unit.

Yahoo is very useful to seek the conversion of units. Everything you need to do is write what you want. If you search "convert cubic centimeters to liters" to return to the:
1 cubic inch = 0.00432900433 gallons (U.S.)

So is 5871.25 cubic inches
5,871.25 * 0.00432900433 = approx 25.42 gallons per round.

You can also just search Yahoo for "converting cubic centimeters to liters 5871.25" and the same results page results.

So, if there is a formula that you really want, so you measure the length (L), width (W) and height (H)the aquarium in inches, then multiplied by the conversion factor:
Volume in gallons = L * W * H * 0.00432900433

First, calculate how many cubic centimeters are in the tank, the length * width * height is

11 * 30.5 * 17.5 = 5871.25 cubic inches.

According to Google, 1 (cc) = 0.00432900433 U.S. gallons

multipy good for 5871.25 * 0.00432900433 gallons 25.4166666725125. This is perhaps a little less, depending on whether their operations inside and outside of the tank.
